While many children may request the latest iPhone, LeBron sneakers, or video game console, the wishes we receive at Touch A Heart are different. A young girl simply asks for pajamas, while one mother hopes for pillows and blankets because her three children share a single pillow. A boy’s request is as humble as a football and a book. Another mother’s only wish is to have a pot to cook for her family. These are the heartfelt wishes of the less fortunate families in our community.
For the past two decades Touch A Heart’s holiday family adoption program in South Florida has been facilitating holiday adoptions, and this year, more families than ever are reaching out for assistance through our nonprofit partners. Their stories are both heartwarming and touching. As an adopter, you can choose a family based on location, nonprofit provider, family size, or simply by feeling connected to their profile. Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the family you’re supporting, sharing in the joy of giving.
Touch A Heart has been facilitating holiday adoptions for the past 20 years. More families than ever are being submitted for help by our nonprofit partners, and their stories will touch your heart. As an “adopter,” you will be matched with a family based on location, nonprofit provider, or number of family members. Best of all, you get to meet the family you are helping and share the joy.

Adopt-A-Family South Florida Program Q&A
A: Families in need are selected by their caseworkers at local non-profit organizations that Touch A Heart has partnered with.
A: Once you are matched a family, you will be sent information with the family name, contact number and their holiday wish list as well as their caseworker’s information. Most of our “adopters” choose to meet their adopted family, and we will included some ideas on how to go about this once you are matched up with a family. Or you may deliver the gifts to the family’s agency or caseworker.
A: There are many ways you can participate in the Adopt-A-Family program. If you choose to adopt a family but wish to remain anonymous, please let the caseworker know and they will help coordinate getting the gifts to the family. If you do not adopt a family, there is also a need for monetary donations. Touch A Heart adopts many families at the holiday time from the funds raised throughout the year. You can donate online here.

A: Touch A Heart will be adopting many families from the money raised throughout the year. We need volunteers to help shop, wrap and deliver gifts to those families.
